Administration Dear Members of the Class of 1985: I am writing this letter for the first publication deadline of your yearbook which is only one quarter of the way through your senior year at Wachusett. This act reminds me of how transient and ordered most of life really is. And this would seem to be a good thing given the less frequent but tumultous events that can occur in the life of an individual or of a country or even of the world. The common experience of high school — even with all the differences of performance and accomplishments — is very important to all of us. I wouldn’t trade in the memories of my high school years — like yours spent at Wachusett — for anything! Even more than twenty-five years out my memory is often flooded with recollections of friendships and of teachers; of good times with my family and the traumas and tribulations of my adolescence. It was a special time for me and I hope it was a special time for you. As you read this your graduation ceremonies will be close at hand and the future will stretch out for you and your classmates in many directions. It is my hope that Wachusett has had some part in preparing you for what lies ahead and that you will remember those — your family, friends, and teachers — who have had a positive impact on your life. I think of Wachusett as a family and 1 wish for each of you to keep us somewhere in your memory as you pursue whatever goals or ambitions that burn in your hearts. We hope to establish a formal Alumni Association in the near future and I hope you will join. My fervent prayer for each of you is that you will pursue your dreams and no matter what life has to offer you that you will face it with truth, honesty, and love. Keep in touch, Harold M. Lane, Jr. Principal BERNARD TREMBLAY, ASS T PRINCIPAL DR. THOMAS PANDISCIO, ASS T PRINCIPAL 19
