Dear Members of the Class of 1984, It is always a pleasure to be even a small part of a senior class year¬ book. Within the pages of your yearbook are seeds of memories that will take root and become even more important to you as the years go by. High school is a pivotal time for most of us — a time of close friendships, of having to make more decisions about our future than we ever have before, of growing to understand our parents more clearly than we ever have before while learning simultaneously to grow as in¬ dividuals; of good times and bad times that often go hand in hand with our adolescent years. It is a time of great happiness and, almost in¬ evitably, great sadness. For in growing as a class we are learning to grow as individuals and at the end of the high school years there is a break with our past that is unequaled during the remaining years of our lives. So cherish your memories and use this book to turn back the pages to what I hope has been, overall, an enjoyable four years at Wachusett. Use what you have learned to make your dreams a reality and don’t ever forget the debt you owe to others — your parents, friends, and teachers.
