To the Class of 1 974, We are in the mi dst of trying times. Pollution, political intrigue, and the energy crisis are only a few of the many problems which plague the world today. However, we are confident that you can put our society back in order. You are graduating from an outstanding secondary school and should be well prepared to face the future with confidence. Each of you has contributed much to this school and I certainly hope the school has alos contrib¬ uted a great deal to you. We have certainly tried to accomplish this. Whatever your future plans are — college, the busi¬ ness world, the armed services, or married life — we cer¬ tainly hope you will be completely successful. My very best wishes to you all, V JLaA- Neal T. Skillings Principal Dear Members of the Class of 1974, You are truly at a rare moment in your life when you may look both backwards and forward while firmly planted in the present. For commencement is both an ending and a begin¬ ning. It is a time for assessing the sum total of your lives to date and for setting out to turn your dreams into reality. You as a class and individually have accomplished much to now but your promise is still far brighter than your successes. It is my fondest hope that you will continue to grow and stretch to catch your own particular star! Get involved in your own lives and in the affairs of your ' society. Be diligent in your pursuit of excellence regardless of ♦he direction that pursuit may take. When you have time to pause and reflect on the years just past, I am sure you will pay silent tribute to your parents and your teachers for the guidance given you in these most important years.
