JEAN ANN JOHNSON A quiet girl is she, but quite a girl we all agree. Jeanie has the knack of getting along with others and is always around when needed. She has a special interest at Renssalaer College. Her ability to do well in whatever she undertakes assures us she will be a success as an X-ray technician. MARILYN LOUISE JOHNSON She ' s short and neat, cute and sweet. Marilyn is a pert and pretty miss Johnny, as her friends call her, can usually be found riding in a black convertible. I am sure care is an enemy to life. Jovial, carefree, full of fun—that ' s Jonesy! He ' s always there with a smile and the latest joke. His sense of humor, his loyalty to friends, and his ability to work hard and succeed, we feel will make him a success in whatever he chooses to do. Future Farmers of America 1, 2, 3, 4. WILLIAM FRANK KAMINSKI Unmoved by the wiles of women. Bill cares not for the whimperinqs and wiles of the opposite sex. He enjoys hunting and fishing and is an asset to the football squad. We wish him a successful future. Football 3, 4. JOSEPH FRANCIS KAPULKA JR. Fond of sports and pleasures too. Joe uses his bashful technique to win his dates with girls. He is one of the boys endowed with abilities to play football, basketball, and baseball. With his shy, friendly smile and extraordinary athletic abilities, he is an asset to our class. Versatile, intelligent, friendly, a warm smile for all. These are just a few of her many fine qualities. A willingness to help others and a cooperative spirit will help her on the hard road of nursing. KENNETH HORACE JOHNSTONE JR. In arguing, too, this person showed his skill, for even though vanquished he would argue still. Beneath that stern exterior lies a many-faceted personality. In contrast to Ken ' s lanquid manner is his calm, realistic approach and active mind, which contributes to his argumentative faculties. Combine with the aforesaid a bit of devilment and an ironical sense of humor, and the character which has given many a teacher a gray hair is revealed. RICHARD CLARE HOLT The farmers are founders of civilization and prosperity. Dick, a farmer through and through, is well-known for his sense of humor. With his ambition and well-conceived plans, we feel sure that he will be a successful agriculturist. Future Farmers of America 1, 2, 3, 4. LEE HOOPER do not do what I ought to do, what I ought not to do, I do. Who did that? Of course, it ' s Lee. We can always depend on Lee for some mischief. But the tall, lanky, brown-eyed fellow is not always devilish, he has his serious moments. The best of luck to you, Lee, in the Air Force. Gym Leader Corps 1, 2, 3, 4. JEROLD PETER HUBBARD He jests at scars that never felt a wound. Jerold is always there when you need him. A more dependable and reliable person you Can ' t find anywhere. Hutch ' s easy-going manner and her persuasive way go hand-in-hand. She has a keen sense of humor which keeps her ever alert to utter a witty remark at the precise moment. We can ' t help feeling that her future will be a bright one. JUDITH MAE JACQUES The twinkle in her eye, the sparkle in her smile—a winning combination. Judy has a smile for everyone and a manner that makes friends for her so easily. She likes sports, especially basketball, and is good in all of them. She has a flair for art, and enjoys designing. We ' re sure she ' ll do well in the commercial career that she has planned. Majorettes 1, 2, 3. RAYMOND PHILIP JASEN True worth cannot be overlooked. Ray is a very active member of our class, both scholastically and socially. RONALD JOSEPH JATRINSKI Never in a hurry, never has a care. Between periods, during periods, or even after school you would be likely to see Ronnie wandering through the corridors with his unhurried, singular gait. Always ready to express his opinion on any subject, Ronnie ' s carefree, devil-may-care, always-good-for-a-laugh attitude comes forth. Intramural Club 1, 2; Yearbook Staff 4. EDWARD GEORGE JEFFREY He hath a daily beauty in his life. Jeff, who may be considered quiet by some, has a lot of the devil within, and look out when it escapes. With h ; s pleasant and co-operative manner, we know he ' ll do well in his position in the Jeffrey Gas and Fuel Company. But before he tries that, off he goes to the Navy. ROBERT EDWARD LaFONTAINE They accomplish much who diligently toil. Bob is a new addition to our class this year, and a fine addition, also. An active mind and friendly personality are just a few of his many outstanding assets. Commerce High, Worcester, Mass. 1, 2, 3. WILLIAM LIONETTE LANE Skillful in each manly sport. Bill ' s popularity is shown by his having been elected to serve his fellow students in some capacity every year. His interests are varied; he has done everything from acting to playing football. DOROTHY ANN KOWALCZYK A jolly girl, a live wire, the kind of which you never tire. Hear that ripple of laughter? There ' s Dottie right in the middle of it. Dot enjoys dancing, skating and basketball, but has a serious side, also, and we know she will succeed in her choice of office work. When there’s a job to be done, Cathy can always be counted on to do it well. She has received excellent marks for four years and has been an active participant in many sports. Her main interest seems to be in science where she is very capable and has won several prizes. Her plans for the future include college and a tentative medical career. RICHARD HECTOR LABOSSIERE Politeness goes far, yet costs nothing. Here ' s a quiet fellow, but don ' t sell him short; he is a fine athlete and has a pleasing personality. Dick ' s interests in athletics should serve him well in his vocation connected with the great outdoors. Dick ' s personality enables him to get along well with everyone. His sense of humor never lets an opportunity for a good laugh slip by. His prized possession—a black and white Ford. Biology Club 2; Intramural Club 2, 3, 4; Senior Play 4; Spanish Club 2. JOANNE LOUISA KEMP I ' ve taken my fun where I ' ve found it. Jo is an amiable, fun-loving girl. She finds life a thing which shouldn ' t be taken too seriously. Small in stature but not in worth, Jo ' s quick smile will always be welcome wherever she is. Bruce is an outstanding athlete who excelled in every sport in which he participated. Although he is quiet, he is well-liked and well-known. His clean-cut appearance and ways will lead him to success.
