Her pleasant personality and her sincerity have won her many friends. (Incidentally, Mary ' s views on men are very interesting!) Whatever the future holds, she has our best wishes. Everyone is always happy to have “Judy” around, flashing her bright eyes and smiling a cheerful smile. “Judy” has always been a neat and accurate person, so we ' re sure she ll make a capable office worker. “We find in life exactly what we put into it.” Holden High School. Calmness and amiability are characteristics of “Ellie.” With a ‘‘Has anyone seen Bev?” and “Have you seen my rod?” she continues her way. She has always been reliable in every- thing she has undertaken, and we ' re sure she will make an ideal nurse. “When done by her it is well done.” Major Edwards High School. Demure, attractive — these and a myriad other things could be said about Marlene. We all like her best, however, for her ready cheerfulness and willing spirit. Smiling constantly through happiness and misfortune, she has radiated her sunshine to all her friends. We shall not forget her. omas “In quietness lies hidden friendship.” Holden High School. Intramural Basketball 4. A truer friend one could never ask. “Tom” has that certain something that gains many friends and keeps them. He’s quiet, yes, but watch out ! Under that calm exterior there’s a live wire. “A quiet boy is he. But quite a lad we all agree.” North High School (Worcester). F. F. A. 1, 2, 3, 4. We shall long remember “Dick’s” red convertible with the plaid top, the pride of the school parking lot. “Dick’s” future plans include Stockbridge, where he intends to study dairy farming. “The quiet mind is richer than a crown.” Leominster High School. Always ready for good times and laughs in her feminine way, she has made many friends in this short year at W. R. H. S. Here’s to you, “Margie,” and your career in teaching! His willingness to help people, together with his good nature, will aid him in attaining success in future years. After graduation “Ken” plans to go to Boys’ Trade School. Honor Roll 3; Chorus 1, 2; French Club 1, 2; Yearbook Staff 2; Sophomore Dance C ommittee 2. Studiousness, a love of fun and amiability are “Toni’s” out- standing qualities. Her great ability in French has made her the envy of many. We are sure “Toni” will be a great asset to the profession of nursing. “A silent character portrays an easy mind.” St. Bernard’s (Fitchburg). Basketball 1; Glee Club 1, 4. “Connie,” although quiet at times, is a good companion. She is very efficient and will make a fine nurse.

V w “Always ready, always there.” Holden High School. Echo Staff 4. Janice has been of the greatest assistance to our class. Quiet and self-effacing, she is always willing to listen and help if she can. What patient ' s pulse would not skip a beat to have Janice as a nurse? Her spirit of helpfulness and loyalty, her faithful and conscientious application to tasks assigned are attributes that will make her a very successful “Florence Nightingale.” a it rt on ([lino l fjattion “To know him is to like him.” Rutland High School. Glee Club 1, 2; Basketball 2. Put ihe adjectives friendly and humorous together and you nave “Burt” to perfection. He is always willing to do a favor for anyone. He is a lot of fun and provides those who know him well with many good laughs. After graduation he will enter some branch of the service, probably the Army. c Jlee — J i ranciS eriin “Let schoolmasters puzzle their brains.” Holden High School. Lee has a lively sense of humor, which has brightened many a class. He is always willing to undertake a task without complaint. His classmates wish for him in the future the good fortune which he well deserves. “He’s a regular guy; why say more?” Holden High School. We are all sure he will continue his record of achievement in college. “Doing deeds well Is worth more than many spoken words.” Holden High School. If there ' s a need for entertainment, “Terry” is right there either playing her trombone or singing. She is always helpful and her willingness to work is one of her great assets. She plans to enter Upsala College next fall, where we know she will be a credit to her Alma Mater. “We have two ears and one mouth that we may listen the more and talk less.” Major Edwards High School. Emily is one of the quietest girls in our class. Her hobbies of reading, bowling, and travel have kept her busy outside of school. She is very capable and does a job the way it should be done. For this reason we know she will be a great success as a missionary. “Music in his heart, mischief in his eyes.” Major Edwards High School. Junior Play 3; Student Council 3. Behold a quiet, shy gentleman — but don ' t let that exterior of seeming quietness fool you, for within one will find gaiety and fun and a store of hilariously funny jokes that keep his friends under a spell of constant laughter. Thomas is also a con- noiseur of music, but, as contradictory as it may seem, he has always wanted to be a mortician, the line of work he plans to pursue.
