Demure, attractive — these and a myriad other things could be said about Marlene. We all like her best, however, for her ready cheerfulness and willing spirit. Smiling constantly through happiness and misfortune, she has radiated her sunshine to all her friends. We shall not forget her. omas “In quietness lies hidden friendship.” Holden High School. Intramural Basketball 4. A truer friend one could never ask. “Tom” has that certain something that gains many friends and keeps them. He’s quiet, yes, but watch out ! Under that calm exterior there’s a live wire. “A quiet boy is he. But quite a lad we all agree.” North High School (Worcester). F. F. A. 1, 2, 3, 4. We shall long remember “Dick’s” red convertible with the plaid top, the pride of the school parking lot. “Dick’s” future plans include Stockbridge, where he intends to study dairy farming. “The quiet mind is richer than a crown.” Leominster High School. Monitor 1; Glee Club 1; Chorus 2 ; Radio Club 3, Office Assistant 4. “Margie” is by far one of the neatest girls in our class. Always ready for good times and laughs in her feminine way, she has made many friends in this short year at W. R. H. S. Here’s to you, “Margie,” and your career in teaching! CnJJC orpi “The less he spoke, the more he heard.” Rutland High School. Junior Prom Committee 3. To some members of our class, “Ken” is just a quiet, un- assuming boy with a whimsical grin. His willingness to help people, together with his good nature, will aid him in attaining success in future years. After graduation “Ken” plans to go to Boys’ Trade School. Honor Roll 3; Chorus 1, 2; French Club 1, 2; Yearbook Staff 2; Sophomore Dance C ommittee 2. Studiousness, a love of fun and amiability are “Toni’s” out- standing qualities. Her great ability in French has made her the envy of many. We are sure “Toni” will be a great asset to the profession of nursing. “A silent character portrays an easy mind.” St. Bernard’s (Fitchburg). Basketball 1; Glee Club 1, 4. “Connie,” although quiet at times, is a good companion. She is very efficient and will make a fine nurse.

Recognize the tall girl with a gleam of mischief in her eye? That’s “Jan” Horne. She is always ready for fun and laughter, but she is also capable and efficient. Here’s to a happy future, “Jan”! J oijce Jit ' (jinia J4oive “ ’Tis music that makes the world go round.” Holden High School. Curly brown hair and light green eyes are Joyce’s outstanding features. She is a talented pianist and one of the leading athletes of the class. Her hobbies include reading, records, and tropical fish. It is a known fact that Joyce obtained vitamin recipes from Mr. Laprade for her guppies! “It is a friendly heart that has plenty of friends.” Holden High School. Her witty remarks and comic antics spring from an innate sense of humor. A jolly companion, she is bound to make friends wherever she goes. “A little work, a little play, A cheery smile, a bright ‘Good-day.’ ” Major Edwards High School. For a little girl “Jeannie” certainly can make a lot of noise. Her pep and vitality make her an excellent cheerleader, and she really puts her heart into those cheers. Donna, the leading lady of our senior play, has also been a two-time winner in the Grange Prize Speaking Contest. Besides her dramatic ability she possesses talent in art. Her taste in clothes will be an aid to her in the merchandising training which she plans to study at Lasall Junior College. ona ns on “A little nonsense now and then Is relished by the best of men.” Holden High School. Glee Club 1, 2, 3. Does he ever frown? No! Does he always smile? Yes! That’s Donald Johnson. His quietness is very deceiving, for he is a never-failing source of witty jokes. Whatever he does he’s a sure bet for future success. “Her dark eyes sparkle and gleam.” Holden High School. Joyce ' s long eyelashes have been the envy of all the senior girls. Neatness is one of her charms. Always happy, she has a good word for everyone.

Her pleasant personality and her sincerity have won her many friends. (Incidentally, Mary ' s views on men are very interesting!) Whatever the future holds, she has our best wishes. Whenever there is an important school activity, Barbara is there with her camera taking pictures for the Yearbook. She has a warm, winning smile. Everyone is always happy to have “Judy” around, flashing her bright eyes and smiling a cheerful smile. “Judy” has always been a neat and accurate person, so we ' re sure she ll make a capable office worker. “We find in life exactly what we put into it.” Holden High School. Calmness and amiability are characteristics of “Ellie.” With a ‘‘Has anyone seen Bev?” and “Have you seen my rod?” she continues her way. She has always been reliable in every- thing she has undertaken, and we ' re sure she will make an ideal nurse. “When done by her it is well done.” Major Edwards High School. Her favorite pastime is swimming. We know that Vida will go far at Clark University.
