Honor Roll 1, 2, 3; Honor Society 3; Softball Co-Manager 1, 2; Basketball Manager 2; Chorus 2, 3; Basketball 3; Junior Prom Committee 3; Junior Play 3; School P aper (Typist) 3; Student Bank Teller 4. Laura is best known for her thespian abilities as witnessed by the highly successful role she played in the junior play. Laura’s future, however, will not lie in acting but in the commercial field. “Serious and well behaved, Never any trouble gave.” Holden High School. Marilyn has gone her quiet way among us for four years. Those who know her best have found the truth of the saying, “Once a friend always a friend.” She takes with her the good wisnes of her classmates as she enters an office next year. “What care I when I can rest. Kill time and take life at its best?” Holden High School. Football 1; Junior Prom Committee 3; Football Dance Committee 3. “Jim” is one of the easiest persons to get along with in out- class. Always ready to help a fellow student get a task done or chase away the blues, he will be missed. May Dame Fortune smile on whatever career he chooses. “How forcible are right words.” Holden High School. Rutland High School. Glee Club 1, 2, 3; Baseball Manager 1: Football Manager 2; Basketball 3. “Gibby” is- the talker in our class, always ready for a friendly discussion. When he gives you his views on a subject, you feel he must be right. A “regular fellow,” he has a pleasant word for all. We know he will do his best in whatever line of work he chooses. “Wit and wisdom are born with a man.” Major Edwards High School. French Club 1; Latin Club 1; Chorus 1, 2; Baseball 1, 2. When one thinks of Warner, one thinks of a sparkling personality, abounding sense of humor, and “Jackie,” his girl. Warner is just one of those regular guys that have loads of friends. He has great plans for the future — Air Force and college. There is no mistaking “Goody” as he saunters into the room with a song and a “wisecrack.” His happy-go-lucky air and easy-to-get-along-with personality have made him one of the most popular members of our class. “Goody” plans to take a forestry course at the University of Massachusetts. “A winning girl with a winning way.” Holden High School. Marcia has accomplished the unusual feat of finishing high school in three years. She has many talents, one of which is skill in art. Her abilities and willingness to work are sure to bring her great rewards. She will be entering college in the fall.

“Life is a jest and all things show it; I thought so once, and now I know it.” Central Junior High School (New Britain, Conn.), Holden High School. Junior Prom Committee 3. Many classes have been made livelier because of the wise cracks from our “ Jerry. ” He has an ever-ready wit and smile, is full of fun and always ready to lend assistance. His plans for the future are undecided, but we know he will find success wherever his path may lie. “It’s nice to be natural When you ' re naturally nice.” Major Edwards High School. Chorus 1. 2, 3, 4; Baseball 2; Cheerleader 2, 3; Junior Play 3; Junior Prom Committee 3. Did you ever see Claire when she was too busy to entertain you with her contagious good humor and wit? And yet she always has a full schedule. She has been an excellent cheer- leader and is interested in sports as a participant as well as a fan. Her ambition is to become a medical secretary. “A friendly face with a smile for all.” North High School (Worcester), Holden High School. Tennis 1; Basketball 1, 2, 3, 4 (Co-captain 4); Softball 2 (Manager 3); Hockey 3, 4 (Co-captain 4); Glee Club 2 X 3; Student Librarian 3; Pep Squad Leader 3; Clarion Staff 3; Prize Speaking 3; Football Dance (Co-chairman) 3; Basketball Dance and Banquet (Co-chairman) 3; Junior Prom Committee 3; Refreshment Stand 4; Yearbook Staff, Business Manager 4. “Fletch” is certainly a welcome addition to every group. Her ready wit and flashing smile are sure to keep her popular wherever she goes. His magnetic personality and jovial ways have won him many friends. He plans to attend college next year. “I have three faults: Woman! Woman! Woman!” Clinton High School. Football 4. Part-way through the year, “Hairy left us to join the Navy. We hope he enjoys his life as a “gob” and that he finds smooth sailing both now and in after years. “A born athlete and mighty good fellow.” Holden High School. Those of us who know “Bob” are impressed by his friend- liness. He is a likeable fellow with a winning smile for everyone. He has won the admiration of his classmates by his outstanding ability in athletics. In his future plans, college and coaching are foremost. Many a dull evening has been brightened by her presence. When- ever extra help is needed, Ann is there with her artistic abilities and vivid imagination to help make the project a success. We hope happiness and success will be her constant companions in whatever she does.

His earnestness and sincerity have helped him do every job successfully. Cheerful and well-liked, “Fran has been active in many things. She always has a friendly “Hi for everyone and leaves behind her many friends as she takes up her career as a secretary. “Show me the boy who never threw a stone at someone’s cat, Or never whirled a snowball at someone ' s high silk hat.” Holden High School. He is much interested in art, and his talents along this line have won him well merited praise. “Real worth requires no interpreter.” Holden High School. His hobbies are photography, fishing and — girls! Upon graduation he hopes to study pharmacy. Janice a ns on “The smile that won ' t come off.” Major Edwards High School. Bruce is a genial, good-humored young man, whose smile and witty remarks add jest to any classroom. In him his classmates have found a perfect friend. He is interested in engineering as a career. Crash, bang! and who enters the room but “Bill” Harris? How’s Texas, Senator? “Bill” has been a great help to our school by announcing all the basketball games. Whether he decides on commercial art or radio and TV broadcasting, we predict a successful future for him.
