“COME YE FROM THE HILLS ” Visiting a mystical village in the middle of Scotland that is 200 years in the past isn't an adventure one usually makes, but this year, you were invited to do just that. With the music of love songs, fairs on Machonnachy Square, and a beautiful wedding, Brigadoon, a wonderfully preserved vil- lage, came to life. The blessed, old-fashioned town appeared only one day every one-hundred years in order to save its traditional ways. On one of those days, two hunters from New York, Tommy and Jeff, stumble upon the village and, of course. Tommy falls in love with a sweet village girl named Fiona. However, he learns he must leave her. He leaves but cannot stop thinking about her and decides he must go back. But how? In the end, he again finds the secret village and begins his new life with his new love. BRIGA- DOON was brought alive by many hardworking indivi- duals, who were directed by the dedicated and talented, Mary Kay Schweim. After 11 weeks of rehearsals, set build- ing and costume making, the cast of 29 gave their audiences a show to remember. BRIGADOON was presented to both the elementary and high school, and ended its run with two successful public performances on November 16 and 17.
