Wabasso was behind by 13 points at the low point of the game, but with only 37 seconds to go, the Rabbits trailed by only k points when Nick Fischer put up a basket. Then as time ran out, Mike Franta sank the shot which sent the game into overtime. With 5 seconds remaining of over- time, Jeff Schueller hit the winning basket. Wow! What a game! The next and last game ot the year was against Springfield. Springfield jumped out to ar early lead which Wabasso was never quite able to onercome. So the Rabbits ended their season with an 11 and 6 record. 1. Captain J.Tnull, Coach L.Grossman 2. A Squad Basketball team-Row i: B.Hogen, B. Their hard work on routines, practicing, and getting-it-together continued into the school year under the super- vision of Ms. Joyce McCallum. The five girls performed at football and basketball games and wrestling matches. At the Wabasso wrestling invitational the girls sold food in order to raise funds. The year was concluded when the twirlers gave lessons to all prospective twirlers in the elementary grades. 1. Twirlers-Row 1: J. Irlbeck, D.Beranek, J.Pal- uck. Row 2: S.Christensen, J.Kramer. But between practicing music, practicing a lesson, or practicing marching, there is some time left for fun. Under that cate- gory fall such events as contests, concerts, pep band appearances at games, and picnics. To commem- orate the end of many years of hard work, devoted service, and fun, the senior band members were awarded a trip to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see the production Fiddler on the Roof. 1. Shut the windows and turn the heat on because it's cold in here! Put the squirt guns away and sit down! May I sit with you? Did you check the chart?
