HOMECOMING Queen Melanie, King Jim Reign On Thursday evening, September 20th, Jim Brey and Melanie Schumacher were crowned by Bruce Schmidt and Iynette (Strand) Bemardy. Skits and talent acts preceeded the crowning. The winning talent contest act was put on by the faculty - a back to the 50 s skit. Other winners were Kathy Davis, the Tryolean Trailblazers, and Leonard Jenniges with his Louis Armstrong imitation.

A parade was held Fri- day afternoon starting in front of the school. It was led by motorcycles and flag carriers. Each class had a float entry with the juniors winning the prize for the most original and the freshman for the most humorous. Friday night the Rabbits came out victorious over the Morton Indians with a final score of 12 to 8. A dance was held in the high school gym after the game. The music was pro- vided by the Los Vaqueros. RIGHT: The Royalty Float comes to town. BEI0W: Action during the Homecoming game against Morton.
