Board, Administration Aim at Better Education The work of the three men pic- tured below is aided by the school board. These six people; the super- intendent, and principals strive to make WHS the most enjoyable insti- tution of learning that is possible. Each year the task of hiring excel- lent teachers and other employees falls on the shoulders of these people. This, although a major task, is only one of their many responsibilities. The six people who served on the school board this year were: Mr. Robert Daub, Mr. Myron Fuhr, Mr. Leonard Hauptli, Mr. Clarence Dresow, Mr. Melvin Bittner, and Mr. Erwin Kruse. Mr. Stanley Stassen, a long time school board member, died on Decem- ber 11 from injuries received in a fall. Mr. Stassen served as a member from 1954 to 1967. He was the chair- man from 1959 to 1964. Mr. Bye presents the trophy for winning the Wocohami Conference in football to co-captains-Joe Brand and Pat Alcorn. Mr. Carl Bye, Superintendent
