FACULTY WORKSHOP September 3» 1959 found all of the above teachers on hand awaiting last minute Instructions from the Superintendent and Principal before another school campaign began. Mr. Stanley Stassen, President of the Board of Education» extended a welcome to the teachers and gave a short address on 'The School and the Teacher. Reports on Special Class, Library, PTA, A-V, and the teacher handbook took up the balance of the day. A trip to the Seaforth School and time to work in classrooms in preparation for the opening of school took up the teacher's time on Friday and so everything was ready for another busy year. All through the year the faculty met as the Wabasso Education Association in a special organization to promote better learning in the community. Pres- ident of this teacher's group was Mrs. Anderson with Mrs. Krengel act- ing as Secretary. Seated from left to rights Mrs. Anderson, first grade; Mrs. Haas, fifth grade; Mrs. Christensen, English 7-10; Mr. Davis, Industrial Arts 7-12; Mr. Hahn, Social Studies 7, Science 7-9, World History 11; Mr. Yess, Physical Education 7-10, Math 7-9; Miss Schroeder, Homemaking 7- 12; Mrs. Krengel, Special Class; Mrs. Negaard, sixth grade; Mrs. Arndt, secqnd grade; Mrs. Schweim, third grade; Mrs. Peavey fourth grade; Mrs. Kretsch, kindergarten; Standing: Mr. Skelton, Biology, Geometry 10, Physics 11 and 12, Advanced Algebra 10 and 11; Mr. Solheim, Band, Chorus; and Mr. Patterson, English 11 and 12, Speech.
