Mrs. Anderson The first graders have been spending a great deal of time learning how to read and write. One of their pro- jects was to make the American flag from paper chains. SECOND GRADE Left to right: Barbara Kelt- ner, Lois Johnson, Joan Arn- dt, Steven Geske, Nels Christensen, Kevyn Schweim, Connie Lindemann, Brenda Wagner, Valerie Kratzke. Absent: Bonnie Werner, Dean Woodford. Left maon, to right: Beverly Gretchen Henning, Mrs. Arndt, Colleen Anderson, Roland Ma- mmenga, Rodney Dallmann. Seated: Julaine Meyer, Dav- id Johnson, Janet Salewske, Juanita Hengle, Susan Burt- zel, Nancy Telschow. Standing: Lois Troxel, Don- ald Zieske, Patricia Large, Sidney Schultz. Faith Dall- Christensen, HIGHLIGHTS: Second Graders enjoyed learning to tell time and made clocks ising both Roman numerals and Arabic num- bers. While studying a unit on the Bakery, we tried our hand at baking bread and later enjoyed eating it. Cutie, a yellow canary, was a welcome addition to our room. He sang while we worked, and started us on a bird unit in which we learned much about birds and their habits.

Left to Right: Betty Kay Schaffran, Barbara Walter, Rachel Wittwer, Barbara Muenchow, Jeannette Schoer, and Audrey Brau. The girls who are on bus patrol have many different duties to attend to. Through rain, sleet, and snow these girls are on the bus every morning and afternoon to check attendance for that day. Another important duty of the bus patrol girl is to keep order in the bus while it is in motion so that the bus driver can keep all his attention on the road. BUS DRIVERS
