Here is a picture of the pallbearers and our mourners shortly after the procession into the gymnasium. After the obituary was read by Calverna Arends, the spirit of Wa- basso High was lowered into its final resting place. The chorus and the director, Mr. Sol- heim, had to start from scratch, but a lot was accomplished by the year's end. On December 19th the chorus, in a joint concert with the band and grade school, sang several unusual Christmas carols which were en- joyed by all. They also took part in the annual music festival at San- born. The Madrigal group was organized in the spring of the year and com- peted in the music festival where they received very good criticisms and an A rating. By receiving this grade, they qualified to com- pete in the regional contest at Worthington, April 25.
