The studen. governing body, the stu- dent council, was very active during the 57-58 school year. They sponsored a student faculty basketball game, the proceeds going toward the purchase of a popcorn machine; a clothing drive, which brought in a total of 307 pounds of clothing; and a charity auction. Student Council Ralph and Butch are working hard packing up all of the clothing. More bags had to be sent for because of the amount that was contributed. Just checking the chart, says Paul. This is a picture of the chart taken on one of the first days of the Clothing Drive. The chart looked quite a bit different at the end of the drive. The senior class contributed the most giving 104 pounds. 18
