PROPHECY (Continued) FENNERN is Dr. WERNER’S top nurse. Dr. WERNER has a lot of trouble with the highway patrol. Not that Dr. WERNER is doing anything wrong, but there seems to be some attractions there. While JERRY LAMPRECHT isn’t being chased by girls, he runs the “Lumpy Produce.” D AVE EVANS is one of the best egg candlers that “Lumpy’s Produce” ever had--although most of the teenagers know DAVE as the top male juke box recording star. Up main street a ways is the barber shop. KEN WOTSCHKE and DORIS WEBER are in joint ownership. Their special is hair- cuts for people, dogs, and cats at $2.50. EVELYN HAUAN’S dress shop is on the main street, too. She has a floor show and a style show everyday showing Siberian and Turkish styles. BETTY POTTER--post mistress. Having some trouble as everyone has lost his mail box combination, and BETTY is figuring them all out. Here comes the great coach JOEL FENNERN. Even though he’s a member of one of the top dance teams, JOEL is a great English teacher and coach at R.H.S. “The Rabbit Ears” should be out any hour now. It’s the daily newspaper run off each day. Last week JULENE was also elected “Mrs. Rabbit Town of 1967,” so JULENE is real busy. The town council (consisting of MARLYS, ELDONNA, JUDY, EVIE, DORIS and MELVA—(and poor Mayor SCHAFi RAN at the head) has made the law which prohibits the feeding of “Nightmares.” And now to leave this beautiful and thriving town, we step into BILL JENSEN’S new XBJ300 flying saucer and whisk away at 8,000 miles per hour. And as we lose sight of Rabbit Town, we bid farewell to the seniors of “57” (“67”). CLASS OFFICERS PRESIDENT..........Roger Schaffran VICE-PRESIDENT........Arlan Fuhr SEC. -TREAS........Carol Kammerer HISTORY Miss Beckler presents the Homemaker of Tomorrow award to Elli Beermann. In September, 1953, thirty-two eager freshmen entered the doors of WHS. The fateful day, our initiation, arrived too soon; but much to our surprise, we found it was lots of fun. Our class float won first prize that year in the Homecoming parade. As sophomores, we initiated the freshmen much to our enjoyment. Other than that, it was quiet an uneventful year, referring to extra-curricular activities. Our junior year was a busy one. Our class play, A Date With Judy, kept us busy for about two months--it had to be postponed twice. The junior-senior banquet kept us working all spring--flowers by the dozens were made, other small details had to be taken care of. The theme of it was in the Evening By The Moonlight. Another big event of that year was the arrival of our class rings--of course, we de- cided they were the nicest we'd ever seen. Four of the happiest years of our lives were drawn to a close when thirty sen- iors walked through the halls of WHS for the last time as students............we have now joined the ranks of the alumni of WHS. 19
