IMC The band, under the direction of Mr. Ibsen, had another exciting year. They marched in several parades, perfored at many of the home sports events and gave several concerts. They had a pep band, a jazz band and a concert band. The band had several groups that starred at contest also. •0 This years choir proved once again that 50 or more teenagers in one room can provide some wild moments and some beautiful music. The choir participated in many concerts and contests. Mrs. Brelsford directed the choir. The only way for someone who isn't a chorus member to experience these things is to go out for chorus. With the money they earned, many members went on a skiing trip to Spirit Mountain in Duluth, Minnesota. They ended the year with a very wet picnic. The club sold cards to buy summer activity equipment for the Day Activity Center summer program. Two girls attended the state convention. Barton The 1980-81 student council is made up of four representatives from the classes 9-12. The senior class has five representatives and one includes the president who this year is Pete Greenheck. Ter-ese Barton is vice president, Connie Madison is secretary, Jenny Greenheck is treasurer. The purpose of the organization is to have the student body go to the members to have thier problems brought out. The meetings are held on Monday afternoon in the room of Ms. Mayer who is the advisor. Ninty percent of this years talented declamation team advanced to the district contest.
