SADIE HAWKINS Do you all remember, Every year in November, A night of romance, Was the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The gym was full of music. With laughter and with sound, There were bales of straw and hay Scattered on the ground. But, best of all, To top off the day Dean became Li’l Abner, And, Karen, Daisy Mae. When the night was over, We told you not to fear. Cause the Sadie Hawkins Dance Will be back next year! TOP. Karen Meyer Daisy Mae and Dean Plank Li'l Abner sitting on their throne. ABOVE. WINTER CARNIVAL Winter Carnival candidates. L TO R. M. Gustafson, D. Vogt, S. Kasper, B. Wolf, G. Grigg, A. Greenheck, K. Stamschror and B. Calvey. In the middle of winter, In the cold and the snow, The Winter Carnival Was the place to go. One day was Grub Day, The next, we dressed neat. One day we wore scarves on our head And boots on our feet. We held a contest In the snow And to the best sculpture. Money would go. We had an exciting basketball game. The students won. But the teachers were good sports, Just the same. But the big event, The big surprise, Was the Carnival Dance Which caused gaping mouths And wide opened eyes. And at that dance Was a wonderful thing, Julie and Jim Our Snow Queen and Snow King— Teacher's team for the basketball game. Cheered on by the Faculty. Better luck next time! 13 S. Perry, L.
