“And NeverBeen Kissed” And Never Been Kissed was the 1969 WHS Fall play, a comedy which portrayed the many loves of a young romantic, Flory, (Rene Kennebeck) who had, indeed, never been kissed, but certainly not for lack of trying. During the course of the play, Flory uses beauty creams to erase crows feet, which she con't find, tries desperately to match up her temperamental mother (Debra Earney) with Mr. Peabody (Bob Dose). Flory thinks of Mr. Peabody as a millionaire, but he is really only a man with a strange eccentricity for flowers and plants of any kind, who lives in a small, one-room apartment. Mavy (Bonnie Wilson) and the numerous other members of the cast and crew add spice and interest to the 1969-70 Fall play. The cast and crew were extremely grateful for the assistance and direction of Mrs. Claudia Lea. The audience was kept on its toes between acts by the song and dance routines done by Nancy Meyer, Jani Palmen, and Ann Gathje. The acts were directed by Mrs. Magda Hertsfeldt. All star cast FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: K. Newman, J. Passe, D. Earney, B. Dose, R. Kennebeck, V. Clickner, R. Miller, B. ABOVE: Flory (R. Kennebeck celebrates her sweet sixteenth birthday. 16

Noon HourFrolics At the sound of a shrieking bell, students at WHS learn to either run for cover or join the wild stampede to the lunchroom. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, if you listen, you can hear the sound of seventy harmonious voices singing at the top of their lungs. As you stroll down the hallway, you can catch bits and pieces of school gossip and laughter. If you're really looking, sights of students studying are found. There are always various meetings to run to such as Student Council, Spanish Club, Totem Poll, and National Honor Society. As you go up the stairway be sure to remain alert for two things, a bell for lunch, and seniors sliding down banisters. C. Roerhrich is portraying her usual light headed spirit. 18
