‘Those Were The Days ... 5 The 1969-70 Homecoming Festivities began with Thursday nights coronation, at which David Arens and Debbie Theisman were crowned reigning king and queen. Vigorous cheering and excited voices rang in the air at the bonfire which immediately followed the coronation ceremonies. These excited voices inspired the WHS Indians to a shutout victory Friday night over Elgin. A dance, sponsored by the senior class, was held Saturday night with music provided by The Ticket. Those Were the Days was the theme chosen for the Homecoming festivities of 1969-70. We will definitely remember Those Days” which were so much a part of our high school years.
