The big, big box carried by Yearbook editor Carol Perry marks the beginning for the 1972 “Oubache”. The heavy load here became heavier as the year progressed. The art room was quiet except for the hushed planning session between Yearbook sponsor, Don Swift and Morris Miller, an “‘Oubache” staff photo- grapher. Each “Oubache”’ staff member is doing his own thing while Jack Bush thinks. 80

With the addition of color and the change from miniature to standard size, the staff can truly claim to have created a bigger, brighter yearbook. Creativity has been stressed as a prime element in the production of the Oubache as shown by the rejection of the traditional form of the student body section and the introduction of the new group shots. The new darkroom has allowed the staff a quicker and more economical service. Also new to this year’s Oubache is free verse of the opening pages written by a student of Wabash Valley College, Jed Trapp. To keep unneccessary costs at a minimum, this year the students were asked to register if they desired the 1972 Oubache. This, too, helped to cut down expenses in order to create the big, colorful, 1972 Oubache. Making use of the new darkroom and equipment is staff photographer, Kenny Wood. 81
