Text from Pages 1 - 50 of the 1951 volume:

The Log Roller Dedication The Servicemen We, the Seniors of 1951 dedicate this annual to the boys who have graduated from Wabeno High School and have served and are serving with our country's armed forces. To them goes our humblest gratitude and appreciation. The Seniors In Memoriam On December 30, 1950, Pfc. John Skinner was killed In an automobile accident which occurred near Canton, Ohio. John, on leave from his army camp at Port Meade, Maryland, was enroute to his home in Lakewood, Wisconsin, when the car In which he was riding hit the back of a parked, un- lighted truck, and he was instantly killed. John, a former member of the class of 1951 was well known by the students of Wabeno High. He participated in football, and played the bass drum in band. Because of having known him, we are kinder in our Judgments, and are proud that he chose to serve in his country s armed forces. We will, always remember John, and in doing so, we know They are not dead who live In hearts they leave behind. School Board Standing, Left to Right: A. Iwen, L. Toutloff. Seated, Left to Right: 0. Each class was well represented and the Seniors doubly so, by having LeRoy Zingler, who was a contestant in the state contest last year, again participate in oratory.
