Joe Stoddard fTheophilus Biggersl welcomes Sam Craig fMike Carlislel home. Spartans visit Our Town Thornton Wilder wrote it, and the Samuell Thespians acted it out on stage. Our Town was the fall play presented by the Thes- pians on November 8th and 9th at 7:30 p.m. The play was about a small town, and its everyday happenings. Spartans rock around the clock On December 14th the stu- dent council Smile committee sponsored a B.Y.O.B. Sock Hop. B.Y.O.B. stood for bring your own banana. The event lasted from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. The music and dress for the sock hop was 1950's style. Matt Lindsey and Joel Ballew were the D.J.'s. Admission was one dollar or 30 Life a banana. The admission price entitled students to a make- your-own banana split. Tammy Vail commented, The sock hop would have been better had there not been a conflicting choir rehearsal which caused many not to attend. Tyrone Tatum thought, The banana splits were really good. It was fun to make your own. Dedrick Williams and David Vines out the chicks.
