Fair Day Fair play A twenty to fourteen victory over the South Oak Cliff Golden Bears topped off'Fair Day for the Spartans. Before the game started, Samuell students filled the Midway and buildings. On the Midway the Spartans rode on the Looping Star, the roller coaster, the ferris wheel and other spine tingling rides. Other amusements included the Laser Light Show, the 3-D Show, the haunted house, and the freak shows. Matt Lindsey enjoyed hunting for free food samples in the Jimmy Coronado bats a thousand for a Sherry Main takes a water break. C8 buildings. Mark Carlock and Casey Carney's favorite part of the fair was the automobile building and playing a football game in the Cotton Bowl. Approximately sixty students met for a group picture at three o'clock p.m. in front of Big Tex. The teachers shied away from the fair on October 19th, which was Dallas High School Fair Day. They chose to visit the State Fair of Texas on one of the other record setting twenty-three days the fair was open. Terry Vaughan, Dana Morgan, Mikey Hatzenbuehler, Clifford Hooker, and Lara Moore make their way to the Midway. Spartans gather at the fair. Life 17
