Thespians Present Scapino! The cast sings as Geronte looks smug. Scapino becomes Long John Silver. PN Scapino saves Geronte by concealing him in a sack. Giacinta lays one on her man, Ottavio. The Thespians presented Sca- pinol at U.I.L. competition on March 28 at Hillcrest. They also lpresented it with two other plays at Samuell May 3. The cast was as follows: Scapino - Darryl Jordan, Sylvestro - Phillip Smith, Ottavio - Nick Silva, Leandro - Billy Lile, Argante - Joe Sullivan, Geronte - Steve Cain, Zerbinetta -'Amber Leff- ingwell, Giacinta - Louann Champion, Nerine - Michelle Saucier, Headwaiter - Steve Sherrell, Three Waitresses - Dei Smith, Kathy Murphy, Cyndie Pierce. Nurse Nerine considers The I-Ieadwaiter's invitation! Scapino begs Geronte for forgiveness as the cast look on. The Headwaiter makes sure his waitresses don't mess up. Zerbinetta, Giacinta, and Sylvestro lament the cruelties of love.

l Teachers Reveal Talent l On Friday, October 26, the annual PTA-Faculty talent show was presented in the W.W. Samuell audi- torium. Featured acts performed by parents and teachers consisted of singing, dancing, and comedy. The show also contained a performance by the rock 'n roll band Storm, which is comprised of Samuell grads. The proceeds were designated to help pay for Senior expenses. if 7 HQ61 ff Mx 1 Ms. Rhoads and Mr. McRae Gong Ms. Walker. Ms. Sauls sings You Are So Beautiful. Ms. Phelps and Ms. Peterson sing about life in the Grove Ms. Thomas, Ms. Allen, Ms. Reed, Ms. Adair, Ms. Pullen, and Ms. Bob gossip in the teach- ers' lounge. Homecoming Assembly On November 9th, spirit and cheer filled the air at the Homecoming assembly. The auditorium was filled with excitement as the cheerleaders kept the spirit flowing, and the Starlets performed a hoop routine. The Blue Jackets added to the excitement of Homecoming and even the varsity got D O W Nm At the end of the assembly the 1979 80 Homecoming court was presented Laurie Johnson was crowned 79 Homecoming Queen her escort was Todd Martin Also on hand was Mr Blackmon who sang his now legendary tune I m so glad that Spartans can t be beat The assembly closed with the singing of the Alma Mater VWW' +.'1 S I I ' is-4 '14 4.
