Seniors We were Seniors. Hots and rings made it official. Rings—gold and ruby, Bought, worn, exchanged, returned. Scarlet hats—buttons worn everywhere, Shirts, shoes, collars, ears. Follow the arrows To the basement Smile please Oh, my pictures are terrible! Dungareed figures Roaming through the halls. Paint-splattered, bleary-eyed— BERNARDINE was in rehearsal. Red candles glow in a smokey room. Seniors and alumni reunited. And senior privileges— Picnic lunches—sort of. And holidays, Mondays and Fridays Usually, but unofficially. Seniors, knowing they could conquer the world. Seniors trying—very trying.
