Rita Russell served punch, in front of the longest Christmas card in history. The Christmas card stretched across one wall of Cafeteria and contained the name of every student at W. T .Woodson. Backed by a mural of lovable toys and canopied by red and green streamers, the much acclaimed band, Sonny and the Shadows, played its way into the souls of their listeners.
