Well, we have reached the end of the 66th CHEHALIN. This is also the final year of advising for Mr. Schwartz, who has put in 19 plus years of being a dedicated and great advisor. We would like to thank Mr. Schwartz for all the years he has put into advising THE CHEHALIN. Very few people realize just how much work goes into putting together a yearbook, and to dedicate 19 years is truly something to be applauded for. W, 'S' i girl Then and Now Ron Simpson Rod Giske This year W.F. West will lose three valuable staff members. Rod Giske, who has taught 31 years: Ron Simpson, 26 yearsg and Marilyn Pettit, 20 years. Our thanks go out to them for their contributions in educating W.F. West students. We wish them the best in their retirement. The staff and students of W.F. West High School, as well as many people in Southwest Washington, were shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Ron Simpson on July 2, 1982. The many memories that we have of Ron will somehow balance the loss of this creative and talented educator, musician, and friend. 18 l l ,
