The l959 Chehalls Bearcat Baseball team In cluding thirteen returning lettermen was the power of the Central League Competition was keen for every position Coach Tom Smith had a tough day to day The Junior Varsity was coached by Mr Vandervest The Bearcat team had a schedule of thirty games II'lClUdInQ twelve league games The Bear cats held their practice sessions at the High School but most ot their home games were played at Millet field decision determining who was going to play from

ROGER GARRETT l959 Track Captain This was a rebuilding year for our Bearcat Track squad. Only four lettermen were back from last years squad which was co-champion of the Central Oeschsner did a fine iob considering this fact. Their schedule included seven meets a sub-district a district and a state meet. Track is one of the most demanding of all sports. Those who turn out for track deserve a lot of credit for attending workouts night after night. - 41 League. Mr. Jim Oeschsner, assisted by Mr. Henry
