Affer winning over pass happy Price U9-l4l, fhe Colfs began posf season play by rolling over fhe highly regarded Washingfon Bulldogs, 33-2l. Lannie Peferson, Flefcher Jernigan, and Bucky Harris excelled on defense as fhe powerful Wash- ingfon offense was held in check. Defensive sfandoufs David Somerville, Dick Wesf- nedge, Alan Kunianksky, Marvin Robin- son, and Shawn Senlcbeil apparenfly didn'+ agree wifh fhe Soufh Cobb coach's sfafemenf fhaf anybody could score on Dykes. The offensive line, led by Arnold and Sam I-lewleH, opened holes fhrough which Bachman, Barfield, McAr+hur, and Joe Williams romped for 370 yards. ln fheir quesf for fhe Norfh Georgia AAA fifle fhe nexf week, fhe Colfs were sfopped by bad weafher and a falenfed Afhens feam, 28 fo 7.
