I ymnastlcs The Boswell gymnastics team began its year with the annual lg' .i Q J 1 ' x ' r Steffi' QV, 1' i ,mln A 'tl' s N , F - ., N Y at , fall gymnastics class for area residents. From there they went into their competitive season under the instruction of coaches Cheryl Tabor and Darrell Daniel. Having only lost three gym- nasts last year, they were predicted to be very strong, and they proved this by taking several members of the team to state competition. Those competing at the state meet in San Angelo were se- nior Dennis Gray on parallel bars, juniors Melinda Newcom on vault and Don Allison, pommel horse. Sophomore janet Ful- kerson competed in floor, exercise, vault, and uneven bars. As the yearis competitive season ended, the team had al- ready began preparation for a new year which included inter- squad meets, exibitions, and other fund-raising activities for the state meet.
