unior arsity Basketball It was a difficult season for the junior Varsity due to players being passed up and down from the Varsity team. Inspite of the inconsistency they finished with 11 wins and 13 losses. They proved themselves to be highly competitive in the Kennedale tournament when they brought home a third place trophy and in the Azle touma- ment they received a consolation trophy. The overall season could be called suc- cessful, and a tribute to building a team for next year's varsity. Outstanding team members were Gig Benton, Kelly Bailey, and Keith jackson. 3 aj Keith Jackson shoots a jump shot over the heads of several defenders. bl A defender tries very hard to block Iacks0n's shot. cl Gig Benton doesn't get quite high enough to get the tip. dj Mike Crisco makes a desperate attempt to stop the opponents shot. junior Varsity Team: left to right: Steve Pace, Phillip Shroyer, Kelly Bailey, Gig Benton, Keith jackson, Mike Crisco, jim Laven. 74 Sports
