Their only loss came at the hands of the Mansfield Tigers. The team's most exciting game was with North Side, who had al- ready beaten Mansfield. Both defensive and offensive teams were strong throughout the season. The freshmen BU team finished the season with a 3-0 record, playing other B teams before the fresh- men Av games. Brad Shaw quarterbacked the aggressive A squad, and led the team, with the help of backs Sammy Cruz and Alvis Yardley to a suc- cessful season. Sports 69
