FF The FFAers competed in livestock shows, judged contests, and attended agricultural-oriented workshops. They also had monthly meetings to top off all the other activities. The mem- bers enjoyed a visit from their state FFA president, Elvin Ca- raway at one of the meetings. The chapter's sweetheart, Marsha Prollock, attended the dis- trict FFA banquet and was named the district FFA sweetheart for 1977-1978. She also represented the district in the area sweetheart convention at Mesquite in May. Band Booster Club. The booster club has had several fund raising activities to help send the band to Galveston. Several students from the band attended the U.I.L. Solo and Ensemble Contests in March at UTA. In April, the band took a trip to Galveston for the Southwest Music Festival. They received a second division rating from three top judges in the nation. VVhen they returned they began workinf on their music for the U.I.L. Concer. and Sightreading Contests which were held in April. Organizations .109
