Tennis The tennis team had an exceptionally good year with the Boys' A Doubles team advancin to regionals in Denton. This year Coach Harol Hawthome divided the team into two separate groups, a boys' and a girls' team. The boys team finished out their season with Barry Davis and Mike Bell teaming up to play A doubles. Davis and Bell combined their efforts and took many victories. Some of which were the Newman- Smith Toumament, where they took first place. They also played in district at Cralpevine and again took another first to qualify t em for re- gional plaly where their season ended. The gir s' team was young and inexperienced. Tami Womack was the only senior, with the re- mainder of the team consistin of sophomores and freshmen. Sandy Parker has the best record and Mary Kay Winchell proved to be the strong- est.
