V's Record 21-1 Season The girls' junior varsity basketball team racked up an impressive 21-1 record this year behind the dead eye shooting of Lisa Daughtrey and the sound de- fensive play of Lynda Bicknell. The team's only defeat came at the hands of the Azle Hornets, who had received their only loss ear- lier in the season from the Boswell roundballers. The year proved to be a very winning experience for the team, which will provide spark to next year's varsity as they move up. In pre-district action, the team averaged 52 points per game and the defense held opponents to 41. Daughtrey averaged 28 points per game and Bi- cknell was the leading rebounder for the team. In overall competition the Pioneers averaged 49 points per game to their opponents' 35.
