The team showed much improvement as the season progressed. A few of the standouts for the season were Ricky Mori, Bill Flowers, Dan Estel, Wes Tipton and Richard Murray. Coach Bob Bogue commented, lt was a very fine season for my first year to coach the boys. Some of the most exciting games were against Castleberry and Mansfield. In competition with Castleberry the boys tied it up at 60-60 at the end of regulation time. It looked as if the team had the momentum to pull out another victory. How- ever, the Lions thought differently when they put the ball in the bucket at the buzzer. Although boys had many overtime victories, the Lions took this one. Mansfield was another team who forced an overtime game, after tying 35-35 an end of regu- lation time.
