The Pioneers only scores occurred in the first half with a l 22-yard gallop into the end zone by Ricky Corbin and a 27 T yard left-footed, soccer style field goal by Tim Bicknell, his goal by Tim Bicknell, his first of the year. The Pioneers final game of the season teamed them against second place contenders, Azle Hornets, in a match for the spot. The Pioneers won the game 18-6 but the scoring was another story. The Pioneers' first score come on a Paul Jacobs interception which was run in from 35 yards out. Bi- cknell also had a foot in the scoring as he booted his final field goal of the year from the 20-yard line, and then there was Jeff Dykes, whose running skill pounded out the way for Boswell, game after game. Making the All-Zone team were: Ricky Walton, Gary Bush, Jeff Dykes, Pete Higgins, and Vernon Sanders.
