ICT and VICA Cosmetology students traveled by bus to Castleberry High this year to receive instructions in preparation for becoming beauticians. Other VICA members were involved with jobs off campus and the group prepared to go to their convention in March in Wichita Falls. Distributive Education DECA members Annette Carter and Shan English attended the state DE contests after winning in their divisions at the area level. Annette was the first female ever to qualify for state in the petroleum marketing division and Shan went in merchandise display. Shan missed a trip to the national finals later in the year after tying with another DECA student. The other student's score was two points higher on the written test, which was the tie breaking factor. Involvement 135
