The Pioneers ended their eleventh game in an un- usual manner, with a 14-21 defeat. As proof of Boswelfs successful season eight Pioneer teammates were named to the 3A-5 all-district team. and live received honorable mentions. The Star-Telegram named senior nose guard Robbie Rogers Defensive Player Of The Year. senior running back Ronnie Rivers Offensive Player of the Year. and head coach Neal Wilson Coach of the Year. Those who made the all-district team were: Johnny Henderson. wide receiver: Brian Adler. tackle: Mike O'Rourke. guard: Burnie Rodgers. center and lineman: Ronnie Rivers. running back: Robbie Rogers. lineman: Gary Bush. lineman and Jim Battenfielcl. linebacker. Those receiving honorable mention were: Jay Henley. tight end: Mike Belshe. tackle and lineman: David Pearce. quarterback: Pete Higgins. lineman and Tim Groce. linebacker.
