STUDENT COUNCIL At the bi-weekly meetings of the Student Council the representatives and executive commit- tee, under the guidance of Mr. Kenneth George, discussed and tried to solve the problems which were brought before them concerning the stu- dent body. President Bruce Ackerman brought the meeting to order and secretary Mary Beth Frol.li:h and treasurer Donna Lee Kennah made their reports to the Student Council. The Constitution Committee with chairman William Batchelder completed the revision of the constitution which was approved by the Council. The Assembly Committee under the leadership of vice-president Michael Munyan organized all assembly programs. The Canteen Committee under the chairman- ship of Carol johnson planned the budget, as- sumed the responsibility for all canteen activities, and cleaned and conditioned the canteen, which included the refinishing of the canteen Hoor. Improving Inter-School Relations was our topic for the A. S. S.C.D. Wlorkshop in which four representatives headed by Mary Beth Frohlich pre- sented and led a discussion concerning this prob- lem. In order to improve school spirit a committee, led by Emily Mader, was organized and school pennant were sold at home games. The Holly Roll was sponsored by the Student Council during the Christmas vacation for the students and alumni. Throughout the year the Student Council strove for school betterment and understanding between the students and faculty.
