C. Briggs, teacher of English at Voorhees School. This organization started in the old Wright Hall for campus girls. The club bears the name Elizabeth Evelyn Wright Culture Club in honor of the founder of our dear Voorhees School. The purpose of the club is to develop each young lady in cultural trends, wholesome personality, sound moral, intellect and spiritual views of life, We feel that if our club can help them live up to this purpose in their campus life, they will be better able to reach a successful goal as worthy citizens of any community E E W C sets u and aims to follow a definite attern of standards. Some of these are P . . ln . . good character, cooperanveness, cultural status, Intelligence, courtesy, loyalty and a Christian character. The echo of our founder sounding in our ears, malces us ready to serve friends far and near. With our aims pressing on, we strive to lead the way. With the loyal few we climb day by day and year by year toward one goal. The torch burning both day and night leads the E E W C Club members to the right. We keep in mind our motto, Build for character and not for fame. It is our sincere desire with our present corps of active and forward looking officers and those to followg we can continue to lead the Elizabeth Evelyn Wright Club to realms of great height. WILLIE WELDON The Voorhees Choir is well organized and provides musical experience for students possessing vocal talent. The choir presents a Christmas Carol Concert, to which the citizens of Denmark look forward, and other concerts annually. From this organization stem the Saint Phillips Chapel Choir and the Voorhees Ensemble. The Saint Phillips Chapel Choir sings on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.
