P. T. A. The purpose of the Parent Teacher Association is to promote closer co-operation between school, home, and community. The entire group meets once a month in the civic room to discuss parent and teacher problems and offer suggestions to remedy them. Throughout the year the members sponsor various activities, the- proceeds ot which go toward a fund for the betterment of the school. For the last two years they have assisted in sending Christmas gift boxes to former Von Ste-ubenites who are now serving their country in the various branches of the service at home and abroad. Many a boy on a faraway battlefield has been cheered by this little remembrance from his alma mater. Mrs. Abraham Blum is the capable president of this splendid organization which has brought about a friendly relation between parent and teacher. It is through this mutual understanding and co-operation that we can acquir the greatest value from our educati U81 G onal system.
