Visitation eniors Took Honors In Battle of Wits , -- - -- - u 1 November 12, 1955 was a momentous day in the history of Visitation. It was a day that was long pre- pared for and a day for which a goal had been set in the minds of four senior history students. For the first time two parochial schools had the opportunity to appear on Quiz Em. Visitation's team fought during that tense half hour with the determined St. Alphonsus students. When the quiz ended, the score board read: Visitation 600 St. Alphonsus 525. The panelists Peter O' Brien, Barbara Beerkle, Antonia Robb, and Edward Spehar brought home a victory and along with it a 21-inch television set. William Jakeway, in the upper left of the picture was an alternate who did his share in the con- TeST. During the intermission the panelists exchanged sides with a celebrity, Harvey Barcus. Visitation students and St. Alphonsus students fired questions at him concerning the outcome of the future Soup Bowl Game. indeed, this was an exciting day and wonderful experience for the winners. lt will never be forgotten.
