American Chemical Society Purpose: To introduce interested science students to the association of professional scientists, their attitudes and work, and the possibilities for careers in the science field. Criteria for membership: The ACS is open to all VWC students especially those interested in science. Members pay five dollars for national dues and are subject to approval by the National American Chemical Society. Special Awards: The Virginia Wesleyan College student affiliate chapter of the American Chemical Society was selected one of 65 above average chapters from the 579 student affiliate chapters. Virginia Wesleyan College Chorus and Choir The Virginia Wesleyan College Chorus and Choir, directed by Dr. David Clayton, came into existence last year upon Dr. Clayton's arrival at Virginia Wesleyan.
