Alpha Mu Gamma Roger Gregory, Walter Kindred, Dr. Julia Y. Lee, Dr. Susanna Hernandez. The purposes of the Society are: to recognize superior academic achievement in foreign languages, literatures, and civilizationsg and to further the ideals of international friendship among other peoples. The Alpha Nu Chapter was established at Virginia State College in 1958. Each year, students who have had two semesters in a same foreign language and received two A's and have a grade point average of 2.5 or more, are induced to become full members. Interested faculty and outstanding personalities of the college community are invited to become facul- ty or honorary members. Presently, there are some fifty members of all the three categories of membership on the campus who are dedicated to the continued strengthening of International understanding and brotherhood.
