History and Social Studies Club 1 ! Harold Yuille, Stephen Banian, Stedman Payne, Alvin Hunter, Alvin Flanagan, Robert Clark, Charles Hungerford. Knowledge is one of the greatest assets in American civilization. But to be effective, it must not only be applied, but applied logically, scientifically, and realistically. This is true in all subjects but emphatically true in history and social studies. By scientifically presenting causes and consequences of past situations, the history and social studies teachers prepare their students to view present situations, objectively and to scientifically prognosticate future occurrences. These are things which the new History and Social Studies Club of Virginia State College wishes to achieve in the present and the near future.
