Its purpose is to provide a fraternal organization and additional training for those students in- terested in Military Science and to provide a high standard of military precision and efficiency for the R.O.T.C. A par- ticular specialty of Pershing Rifles is precision and trick drill. Such activities are conducted on the campus and it meets with other colleges and universities. Basic cadets in good standing in the R.O.T.C. who meet the requirements of the local organization are eligible for membership on a competitive basis. 106 aw
