The subtle signs of change and progress which are always present on Virginia lntermont's campus gave way in 1966-67 to very obvious and important evidence that the academic process here is neither standing still nor inching forward. Dramatic change in every phase of campus life has characterized the year. Though spiritual growth remained an integral part of the Intermont girl, she found, in the complete reorganiza- tion of the campus religious activities, new avenues down which to travel in her search for the ultimate meaning of life. Changes in the physical make-up of the college have been made often over the years, but this year saw adopted a whole new concept for the entire campus. Not only did new faces appear in the office of the Dean of Students and other administrative offices, but a changed and revitalized interpretation of the function of these offices was present. lntellectual growth, inherent in the Intermont girl, was fostered and stimulated by a lecture series that presented world-renowned speakers who were on campus for a day, lecturing formally, conducting seminars, and meet- ting the students face to face as individuals. Even in the lighter side of life, there was change. The out-of-date Rat Weekn was abolished!
