Pro hecy Upon arrxvmg at my desk at the Inter planetary Corporat1on, I found an urgent message from our representa t1ve on the moon, advlsmg me that our branch offzce there needed help to settle a Fortunately, I was able to secure reservat1ons for the flxght, and soon we were zooming through the outer space under the skxllful guldance of our pxlot, B1ll Petefxsh, who just last year recewed a medal for completxng a quadnlhon m1les of flzght wxthout an acc1dent Sue Armstrong, a for er classmate, and the f1rst woman Jet pllot to break the sound barner, was also a passenger on the plane We had a pleasant chat about our classmates of V1rg1n1a I-hgh I stepped off the luxury lmer f1ve hours later and entered the brxghtly l1ghted and commodlous statlon, luxunous ly appolnted and complete wxth every convemence Thxnklng that a cup of coffee would set me up for the arduous task of talk1ng wzth the dzsgruntled employees of our company, I sat down at a table and whxle waltmg for my coffee, I pxcked up the latest edltxon of the Moon Weekly and learned that Mrs Dwlght Kmg Phyllls Noe and Mrs Erland Le1nberger Alxce Haywood , were Jornxng the1r husbands at the Planet Naval Base on the moon At that moment I heard my name called and looked up to see the former Rosella Anderson commg across the foyer of the stat1on Rosella, whose husband, Fred, 15 now owner of the Super Transplanet Air Lmes, had seen rn name 1n the reg1ster of lncomxng passengers and had hurrxed to look me up That even1ng I spent some pleasant hours w1th the famous cattleman, Ronnxe H1bbard, at h1s mterestmng ranch where I toured hxs extens1ve farms, swarmmg, It seemed to me, w1th polled shorthorns Ronn1e saxd that he and h1s secretary, Jo Ann Cox, had recently attended the superson1c VISION debut of John Shaner and hrs famed accordzon I also had the pleasure of meetxng J1.m Smxth, All Amer1can of 2000 A D , and h1s nurse, Donna Rossi., who had just returned from a trxp around the umverse On one of thexr by the dancmg of th1s group wh1ch rncluded a number of my former class mates Mary Ellen Lang, Clara Norr1s, Anna Kluckman, Robert Collms, Earl Norr1s, and Cl1fford McClure Later backstage, we met them and thezr manager, Lyle Anderson Between sessxons of my conference wxth the employees of the Starcraft Company I looked over the bus1ness dxs trxct and, to my delxght, met Denny Young, who runs a cham he was re sxdmg at hxs summer home on Venus where he was fuushxng a statue of Sylvxa Shortndge Later I met h1m on a short busmess trip to Venus On that plane our attractxve hostess, who dxd much for our comfort durmg the flxght, was Shzrley Crawford She told me that she was enjoyxng her flxghts between Earth, Moon, and Venus As I glanced casually around, I recognzzed a young lady busy wxth
